Newsweek has a new article out about how the McCain campaign, fearing a so-called "October Surpirse" about Palin's ethics scandal known as Trooper-Gate, is paying hardball in an attempt to not simply win the investigation on Palin's merits, but to shut it down entirely. A larger question in all of this is whether or not the McCain campaign has bullied witnesses that have previously agreed to testify in the ethics probe or not, which would amount to obstruction of justice.
