EverQuest: A Walk Down Memory Lane

Slopestyle, meet Bashluge

After less than a week of the winter Olympics, I'm officially over the term "slopestyle."  I find these events to be equal parts amazing and ridiculous.  The skiing seems cooler than the snowboarding if only because landing on skis backwards seems way, way cooler.

Today, I am officially prognosticating that the next wacky sport in the Olympics will be a mixture of luge and curling.  So, too, am I coining the term "bashluge."  You heard it here first.

So Very Glad Not To Be In Sochi

America the Beautiful

I'd learned this history about Katharine Lee Bates in various reports yesterday.  A socialist, anti-imperialism lesbian.  Classic.  Totally classic.

America the beautiful, indeed.

White Lion Triplets Born

Three rare white lion triplets were born in a Polish zoo recently.  Here is to hoping that they are treated well and live long and happy lives.
