Last January, I wrote a post regarding the ways one can take steps to protect their own credit records and help stop identity theft. Since then, some states have updated their laws to make it easier to quickly remove the freezes on your own credit reports that help keep you safe, thus making it far less of a pain to have these freezes in place while going about getting a mortgage or shopping for an automobile.
