Curious as to why the Washington State Republican Party is having such issues with counting their ballots from Saturday's party contest? Well, the primary reason is that the state GOP chair, Luke Esser, simply decided to stop counting ballots with 13% of them still uncounted. Yep, "we'll just stop here and call it a day!" Yikes. This, moreover, with less that 1.5% of the then tally separating McCain and Huckabee in the balloting. How very American, no?
For more on this peach-of-a-fellow Esser, see this article at the horsesass.org. It was brought to my attention at TPM here, where the best passages from the other article are mentioned.
