Snow Murals & Yo-Yo Tricks

Two great videos today from The Huffington Post.  The first is a guy who walks in snow to created gigantic murals with his foot prints.  The second is a guy who is AMAZING with a yo-yo.

Snow Mural

Good exercise and with the use of a drone, he’ll have one amazing coffee table book.

This is not as funny as John Snow coming for dinner, but it is pretty good.  There are a few really funny moments for fans as Melisandre attends her first baby shower.

Power Cat Nap

Mimo the tabby is a serious sleeper.  So serious in fact that his person was able to cover him in stuffed mice toys without him twitching a muscle!  The pictures are priceless.

Addition:  After sharing this with a colleague, I was sent this story of an Australian bandicoot snuggling with ducklings and their mother.  Let the napping continue.

Avoid Palm Oil & Save Animals

From The Huffington Post:

Growing concern over the world's disappearing natural habitats isn't a distant problem, and there are easy ways consumers can take a stand.
A new video released by environmental activists explores the issue of palm oil, which is found in half of all the products we buy -- from cookies to shampoos -- and is linked to the destruction of one of the world's most important tropical rainforests.

Reading Your Pet Food Label

The pet insurer Pet Plan detailed on its blog how to read the nutrition label on pet food.  Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a cat person to my core.  (I definitely like cats more than I like people.)  Thus, I believe that cats -- that pets generally -- deserve care on par with that of other family members.  This includes quality of food.  We should be understanding what we feed our pets and make sure that it is the best, most healthful food that we can provide.

It is the only morally appropriate action to take.  If I'm not up to this for any reason, I should not have pets.  Neither should you.

Feed them well.

Walk Off the Earth "Hello"

The great cover band Walk Off the Earth is back with Adele.  Novel and fun.

Voices are not Adele, but really that isn't a surprise.  :-)
