To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?

Consumer Watch: Extra Virgin Olive Oil
There was a big test performed last year on olive oil sold in the US as "Extra Virgin." The testing indicated that the majority of such oil isn't in fact Extra Virgin. Imported brands were less likely to be mislabeled than those from California, but the California brands were still by-and-large mislabeled. While my wife and I no longer cook very much with olive oil, preferring grape seed and coconut oils for that function, we do use it a lot for salad dressings and other similar uses. Buyer beware.

Gingrich Hypocricy per Jon Stewart
Jon Stewart has the perfect critique of Newt Gingrich after his final debate performance prior to the primary in South Carolina. Nothing about Gingrich is appealing, but this is enough to lose him every vote of anyone with the ability to think... or feel.

Income Inequality Continued
TPM has a great new post detailing how income inequality has expanded in America, calling the Bush years a "lost decade." Why are any blue collar Americans voting Republican? The Democrats are really, really bad at messaging.

American Economic Mobility
Last year, TPM wrote about the relative lack of economic upward mobility in the United States, instark contrast to the standard Republican talking point. Now, the NYT has another article on the issue. Check it out.
